Junk Removal in Northwest Calgary
Garages in Brentwood, basements in Bowness, and reno piles in Tuscany all end up the same way: too heavy to deal with on a Saturday. Calgary Dump Runners picks up junk across Northwest Calgary, loads it, and leaves the space swept.
Send 2–3 photos plus your community to 403-437-3100. The quote is based on truck space, and you see it before anyone starts lifting. Same-day is open when the route has room; next-day is the usual backup.

What a Northwest pickup looks like
- Photos first. Text the pile and the community, or use the estimate form.
- Price before labour. Volume sets the number. Loading and dump fees sit inside it.
- Crew does the carry. Floor protection goes down, then the items come out.
- Truck leaves full. The junk goes with us. We sweep the spot we worked in.
Curb-side staging is not required. A couch on the second floor, a freezer in the garage, or a pile behind the shed is fine — point, and the crew takes it from there. Outdoor and garage jobs can often run without you home if access is clear.
Northwest communities on the route
Trucks already cover the Crowchild, Sarcee, Stoney, and 16 Avenue corridors, so inner-city walks-ups and newer northwest suburbs are both routine. Regular stops include:
- Varsity and Brentwood, including suites near the university and Market Mall
- Dalhousie, Charleswood, and Collingwood
- Edgemont, Hamptons, and Hawkwood
- Arbour Lake, Tuscany, and Scenic Acres
- Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak, and Citadel
- Bowness, Montgomery, and Silver Springs
- Evanston, Kincora, Sage Hill, and Nolan Hill
Missing from the list? Anywhere in the Northwest quadrant is still in range — Hillhurst, Banff Trail, University Heights, Ranchlands, and Silver Springs included.
Jobs we take in the Northwest
Non-hazardous items we can safely lift are usually a yes. A photo settles the borderline cases.
Houses, condos, and rentals
- Couches, beds, mattresses, box springs, and other furniture
- Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, and other appliances
- Basement clear-outs and leftover household clutter
- Garage and yard piles: tires, lawn gear, branches, and broken tools
- Move-outs, landlord turnovers, and estate cleanouts
Shops, offices, and reno sites
- Demolition and renovation debris
- Drywall, lumber offcuts, old flooring, and fixtures
- Office furniture, retail strip-outs, and property-manager cleanups
If you are unsure, send the photo. We will say yes or no before booking the truck.
Where Northwest loads go
A full truck is sorted before anything is treated as garbage. Metal, electronics, and other recyclables come out first. Furniture and household goods that still have a use are set aside for Calgary charities and housing programs when they qualify.
The rest follows City of Calgary waste rules. From this side of the city, that drop is usually Spyhill Landfill.
Why Northwest callers book us
- The price matches the space used in the truck — no trip fee added later
- Insured crew for houses, condos, and job sites
- Reusable and recyclable items pulled out of the load when possible
- Owner-operated Calgary crew, not a call centre
- Loading, hauling, and a sweep included
Items we will not load
Landfill rules stop us at hazardous waste. Ammunition, PCB items such as old fluorescent ballasts, and biohazardous waste stay off the truck.
Northwest junk removal questions
How is the price set?
By volume. We look at how much of the truck the pile fills, then give a firm quote on site before a single item is moved. Stairs, long carries, and Freon appliances can change that number, and we say so before loading.
What gets refused?
Chemicals, wet paint, propane tanks, ammunition, and biohazardous waste. Those are outside Calgary landfill acceptance. Ask in the text if something looks questionable.
Do I have to drag it outside?
No. The crew carries from the room it is in, including upper floors, basements, and backyards.
